If your physician is not familiar with these studies, then make an appointment with a leading nephrologist at a major medical center. Don't take that prognosis to heart. Keep checking.
I am new to this message board and wonder if anyone can give me some advise or direction. My husband who is 29 was just diagnosed with a kidney disease called IGA Nephropathy and has lost 70% of his overall kidney functioning and will continue to lose the remaining 30% over the next 3-5 years. When I asked the doctor about alternative medicines he of course said that there was nothing that really worked. I am not sure I agree with him and am interested in exploring all available avenues. Any advise or direction would be appreciated.
